In collaboration with Wall Street Prep, a leading professional training organization, the Investment Studies Center (ISC) - the training arm of Union of Investment Companies (UIC), organized a training program titled "Real Estate Financial Modeling." This program was conducted virtually through a series of interactive sessions during the period 01st – 08th October 2023. It was facilitated by Daniel Mann, who has over ten years of experience in the field of commercial real estate investment and asset management.
The program was inaugurated by Mrs. Fadwa Darwish - UIC Secretary General, who emphasized the importance of using real estate financial models in the corporate world. These models are crucial tools used by analysts and professionals in the real estate investment sector. Therefore, this training program was meticulously designed in accordance with international best practices in real estate investment to create flexible and robust cash flows.
Mrs. Fadwa Darwish explained that the program aimed to introduce trainees to financial models and their role in the real estate sector. It also aimed to provide a fundamental understanding of real estate investment and finance, key features of commercial properties, as well as important topics such as real estate debt, cash flows, real estate capital, joint real estate projects, property renovation, acquisition, disposal, and the rental market.
Participants were given the opportunity to apply their knowledge through practical exercises, including case studies of real estate models and how to adapt them to fit the company's plans and objectives.
