Center for Investment and Financial Services Studies, UIC technical tool, and in collaboration with the Institute for Financial Analysts in Lebanon introduced a training course for the Chartered Financial Analysis (CFA Program) in English for the first and second levels, with the first-level course in the period between November 29, 2008 until April 21, 2009, while the second level in the period between January 1, 2009 until May 10, 2009.

Been meeting with Mrs. Sana Hassouna, Mr. Sameh Hanawi from Qualitas Consulting and Training which is in contract with the Educational Holding Group. They provided a supply of technical and financial training programs in the financial and investment for review by the Union.

Center for Investment and Financial Services Studies continued its activities introducing a training program titled "Introduction to Risk Management", which was prepared in cooperation with Ernst & Young, in the period 8, 9 June 2009. 15 participants attended from the following UIC member companies: Manafae Investment Company, Al Manar Financing and Leasing Company, Securities House Company, Al-Amal Investment Comapny, Kuwait Investment Company, Rasameel Structured Finance Company, Cap Corp Investment Company, Kuwait Clearing Company, Bayan Investment Company, Noor Financial Investment Company, Wafra International Investment Company, National Investments Company, Al Ritaj Investment Company, Industrial and Financial Investments Company, Gulf International Investment Company and Housing Finance Company. Mr. Bader N. Al-Subaie - Head of the Center -  presented certificates to the participants at the conclusion of the workshop and wished them to invest session with the benefit of their companies. The session provided at the current requirements, which characterizes most of the investment companies and financial services, which companies will invest in the face of future risks.

Center Within the cultural activities of the Center and in collaboration with Credit Suisse, there was a symposium entitled "Does the Recent Market Rally Means the End of The Crisis? What are the Opportunities & Challenges in 2010?", presented by Mr. Bob Parker - Vice Chairman of Asset Management, on Monday 28/9/2009 in Bahra Hall at Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
